在欧洲，沃德是户外以及登山运动帐篷领域的先行者和领导者。在背包领域，沃德的最新专利有可调式肩部背带系统F.L.A.S.H以及超轻背负系统Tergolight,即使在背包负重非常大的状态下，此系统依然可以保证身体活动的高度灵活性。在服装方面，从2003年起，沃德与BHA公司进行了合作，BHA公司在薄膜技术方面具有领先地位，它所开发的eVENT纺织薄膜材料的透气性可以达到普通的薄膜材料的两倍。
